What do you need to bring?
- Swimsuit or clothes that can get wet; avoid cotton, which takes a long time to dry.
- Wear footwear that fits snugly and can get wet (closed sandals or water shoes). Open sandals will slip off in the water and offer no protection from the pebbles.
- T-shirt to protect you from the sun
- Sunscreen and sunglasses tied together with tape
- Hat and towel to dry off or sit on the shore
- Dry clothes to change into when you finish
- For cool days (spring and autumn), a raincoat or light windbreaker.
- Food and drink for the day (must fit in the approximately 24L watertight container)
- Cash for the beach bars along the Sella
- Mobile phone for taking photos, protected in the watertight container
What do we contribute?
Don't carry extra gear: at Canoas Oriente we provide all the equipment for the activity. Self-bailing and anti-capsizing canoe, paddle, life jacket (mandatory use), airtight container for your belongings, and an explanation of basic techniques and safety procedures before heading out. At our facilities in Arriondas you have changing rooms, free lockers and hot showers for the end.
And if you forget something, in our departure point store You'll find water shoes, caps, waterproof mobile phone cases, cold drinks, Asturian cider and local products to prepare your picnic, all at affordable prices.
